Location 2)- Household Textures- Test shots

Test Shot 1) Hanging heart-

The first test shot I took was of a hanging heart decoration, the reason I chose this was because of not only the texture of the heart its self but also because of the pattern on the ribbon and the colours contrasting against the view from outside the window.

Test Shot 2) woven heart-

The second test shot was a close up of yet another heart decoration. What I like about this one is the focus on the woven material its self, showing a very detailed texture of the wood inter twining.

Test Shot 3) Radio-

This shot of the radio is a good example of both pattern and texture, what I mean by this is the texture of the metal and the leather covering almost looks like a pattern in its self.

Test shot 4) Fruit basket-

The next test shot is of the fruit bowl, what I like about this photo is the vibrant colours not only is there the contrast of bright orange, yellow and reds but also of the dented and smooth texture. These all complement each other to make a collaborative photo.

Test Shot 5) Hanging bunting-

This focuses on the detailed pattern and colours of the material which makes up this bunting hanging in the kitchen as well as the texture of the pom poms.

Test Shot 6) jars on a shelf-

What I like about this photo is the different textures present. A kitchen shelf full of jars is also full of different texture with each jar containing something new. In this test shot I chose to focus on a jar of walnuts. I really like the texture of the nuts as well as the warm colours.

Test Shot 7) Pot of soil-

This is probably my favorite test shot, there are a lot of textured elements in something so simple. This photo is a close up focus on the different qualities of the soil.

Test Shot 8) Cacti-

This test shot focuses on the different textures of these two cacti, what I like about this test shot is the complimentary green colours as well as the use of light and shadows provided by the window.

Test Shot 9) Basket of eggs-

The last test shot is of a basket of eggs, the smooth texture of the eggs and the course structure of the basket. I also like the use of shadows in this photo.
