Location 1) Patterns and Textures- Human Photography
The first location a chose was on the basis of people. Although not typically viewed as a location, I felt it was most relevant. There is currently over 7 billion people on this earth. All these people are different representatives of the countries of the world and in turn are the best point of location for each.
Creative Possibilities
For this topic I had a brain storm to the different approaches I could take.
Then after brain storming it was time to evaluate the positives and negatives of choosing this as an options.
Positives-
Focuses on the uniqueness of each person while also showing the similarities on the human kind.
People are normally over looked as a subject of location so it gives a unique aspect to the assignment.
It’s a very diverse subject matter so it’s open to all creative possibilities.
People are all around us including ourselves so there is no limit to photographic possibilities.
Negatives-
Some wouldn’t consider it a subject of location.
Photos could be repetitive if not approached differently.
There can be a limit to the textures on a person.
I decided to go ahead with the chose. For my test shots I decided to focus on the textures and patterns that are generally present in all humans e.g. skin, mouth, eyes and ears etc.
