Task One- Short Project - Top 3.
The next part of our City scape task was to pick our top 3... I had more than 3 I must admit but I finally worked it down to my top 3.
- NOTE ALL TAKEN ON CANON 1200D
1. The first photo is of a ‘street performer’, this is one of my favourite pictures because it says a lot about Belfast’s culture.
This photo hold a great story, this man every week comes and sits outsides shops waving his balloons as his Barbie plays music and on lookers give him spare change. I personally think its great how he has become a normal site to see in the city.
This photo was taken with a shutter speed of 1/100, ISO 400 and aperture 20. I decided to take it at titleted angle taking into concideration the rule of thirds, placing him slighty more to the left.
2. The second photo was taken in an alley way covered in fairy lights, this is one of my favourite photos because not only does it display an aspect of Belfast such as its dark alley ways but it does in in a unique light. It takes what is normally considered an uncomfortable area into an inviting almost mystical place.
This photo was taken with a shutter speed 1/50, ISO +/- -3 and an aperture of 5.6. Also I decided to inhance the natural lighting, by adjusting the likes of the ISO to increase the quality of the dark tones and muted colours.
3. The last photo is of a lamp post sticker with and out of focus girl in the background. This is one of my favourite pictures because of its vibrancy, not only does it display the visual aspects of bold colours but it also shows a perspective of urban youth and culture. That of which is commonly seen with in the city, such is displayed by both the promotional band stickers and the appearance of the girl in the background.
This photo was taken with a shutter speed of 1/60, ISO +/- -1/3 and aperture 5.6.
